Going Wireless at William Paterson Univ.
Heather and I were at WPU for the Going Wireless program. We had an excellent turnout and the staff there did a very nice program. There was lots of opportunity for questions and Kurt (who was unable to be there) did a helpful handout. Heather is going to as him if we can post his handout to the HRL C webpage.
Unfortunately we could not experience the wireless system firsthand, as the library had no power the whole day. The program was moved to an auditorium in the building next door.
We were able to promote the Committee and the Hot Technology tips section of the website. There is a big thirst for info on this topic and we need to figure out what else we can do help our members. I will be compiling a list of HRLC members with wireless hotspots and posting that to the website. I suggested this to the group attending the program and they loved the idea. This way members can connect with each other and ask questions.
